CRYPTO WOMEN COLLECTIVE

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Welcome to Crypto Women Collective ("we", "us"). These Terms & Conditions set out how our community and our events work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We have kept them as short and clear as we can.

They are organized in three parts:

  • Part A – General: applies to everyone, members and non-members alike.
  • Part B – Membership: applies to Crypto Women Collective members.
  • Part C – Events & Tickets: applies to everyone who registers for or buys a ticket to a Crypto Women Collective event, whether or not you are a member.
Part A – General

1. Who we are

Crypto Women Collective is a general partnership (vennootschap onder firma) established in the Netherlands.

Based in: Utrecht, the Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 99757257
VAT number: NL869120311B01
Email: contact@cryptowomencollective.com

2. Who these terms apply to

2.1 Part A applies to everyone who uses our website, takes part in our community channels, or attends our events. Part B applies in addition if you are a member. Part C applies in addition if you register for or buy a ticket to one of our events.

2.2 Speakers, partners and sponsors work with us under a separate agreement. Where that agreement differs from these terms, the separate agreement applies.

2.3 If you are a consumer and Dutch law or the law of your country gives you more protection than these terms, that protection always applies.

3. Code of Conduct

3.1 Crypto Women Collective exists to create a trusted space where women can learn, connect and grow in crypto. This Code of Conduct applies in every Crypto Women Collective space: our events (including events we co-host with partners), our online community and WhatsApp groups, and our social media channels. It applies to members, attendees, speakers, partners and our own team.

3.2 We ask you to:

  • Treat everyone with respect and kindness, whatever their background or level of experience. Beginner questions are always welcome.
  • Respect confidentiality. What people share in our community and at our events stays there, unless they say otherwise. You may use what you learn, but do not attribute it to a person without their permission.
  • Be honest about your interests. If you talk about a project, token or company you are involved in or hold a position in, say so.
  • Ask before you photograph or film other attendees up close, and respect a "no".
  • Follow the house rules of the venue and the instructions of our team and the venue staff.

3.3 We do not tolerate:

  • Harassment, intimidation, discrimination or unwanted physical or sexual attention, in person or online.
  • Aggressive sales pitches, spam, or promoting tokens, projects or investment schemes to other members or attendees.
  • Collecting other people's contact details from our channels or attendee lists for mass outreach or marketing.
  • Scams, impersonation, or anything that puts others' money or safety at risk.

3.4 If something happens that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please tell a member of the Crypto Women Collective team at the event, or email us at contact@cryptowomencollective.com. We will treat your report confidentially.

3.5 If someone breaks this Code of Conduct, we may give a warning, ask them to leave an event, remove them from our community channels, or refuse them access to future events. We will always try to act in proportion to what happened. Anyone removed for breaking this Code is not entitled to a refund.

4. No financial, investment or legal advice

4.1 Crypto Women Collective provides education, community and networking. Nothing on our website, in our newsletters, in our community channels or at our events is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Crypto-assets carry significant risk and you can lose (part of) your money. Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

4.2 Speakers, partners and members share their own views. Their participation in Crypto Women Collective does not mean we endorse them or their products, services or digital assets.

5. Our content and yours

5.1 The Crypto Women Collective name, logo, and the materials we create (such as presentations, texts, images and recordings) belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

5.2 You keep ownership of what you share in our community. By sharing it, you give us permission to show it within our community channels. If we would like to use it publicly (for example on our website or social media), we will ask you first.

5.3 You may not record sessions or talks at our events, or share recordings of our online sessions, without permission from us and the speaker.

6. Privacy

We handle your personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). How we do this, including how we take photos and video at events, is explained in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

7. Liability

7.1 We organize our community and events with care, but we are not liable for investment decisions or losses, for lost or damaged personal belongings, or for the acts of venues, partners, speakers, other attendees or third-party platforms we use.

7.2 Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the event concerned.

7.3 These limits do not apply in case of intent or gross negligence on our part, or where the law does not allow them.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available via the link in our membership form and on our event pages. We will inform members by email of any significant changes. For a ticket, the version that applied when you bought it remains in force.

9. Applicable law and disputes

9.1 These terms are governed by Dutch law.

9.2 If you are unhappy about something, please contact us first. We would much rather solve it together.

9.3 If we cannot resolve it together, disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country, and you may also bring a claim in the courts of your own country.

Part B – Membership

10. Membership

10.1 Crypto Women Collective membership is free.

10.2 Membership is open to women and allies with a genuine interest in crypto or Web3, from first-time explorers to experienced builders. Our community and events are designed for adults.

10.3 You join by completing our membership form. Please make sure the information you give us is accurate, and let us know if it changes.

10.4 Crypto Women Collective is a curated community. We may decline or pause an application, for example if we believe it does not fit the purpose of the community.

11. What membership includes

11.1 Membership gives you access to our community and to information about our events, programs and opportunities. Where we offer member-only events or member pricing, we will say so on the event page.

11.2 Joining our email list and our WhatsApp community is optional and separate. You choose this in the membership form and you can change your mind at any time.

11.3 We are a growing community and our offering will evolve. We may change, add or stop benefits and activities.

12. WhatsApp community

If you join our WhatsApp community, the Code of Conduct applies there too. Please keep conversations relevant, respectful and free of promotion. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms. Crypto Women Collective admins can see your phone number; whether other members can see it depends on your own WhatsApp settings.

13. Ending your membership

13.1 You can end your membership at any time by emailing contact@cryptowomencollective.com. You can unsubscribe from our emails via the link in every email, and leave the WhatsApp community yourself at any time.

13.2 We may suspend or end a membership if the Code of Conduct is broken, or if a member's conduct seriously harms the community or the reputation of Crypto Women Collective. Where possible, we will talk to you first.

13.3 What happens to your data after your membership ends is explained in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

Part C – Events & Tickets

14. Scope

14.1 This part applies to all Crypto Women Collective events, free and paid, in person and online, and to everyone who registers, whether or not you are a member.

14.2 Some events are hosted by a partner. If the partner handles the registration or ticket sales, the partner's terms apply to your ticket. If Crypto Women Collective handles them, these terms apply. The event page tells you who the organizer is.

14.3 An event page may contain additional conditions for that specific event, such as a different refund policy. If so, those conditions apply, and we always show them before you register.

15. Registration and tickets

15.1 You register and buy tickets through our event platform (currently Luma). Your registration or ticket is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.

15.2 Our events are designed for adults, unless the event page says otherwise.

15.3 Spots are limited. For some events, registration may require our approval.

16. Communication from Crypto Women Collective

16.1 When you register for an event, we will email you about that event: your confirmation, practical information, reminders, and any changes or cancellations. These messages are part of your registration.

16.2 If you bought a ticket, we may also occasionally email you about similar Crypto Women Collective events and our community. You can opt out when you register and via the unsubscribe link in every email, free of charge.

16.3 For free events, we will only send you this kind of news if you have told us you would like to receive it.

16.4 More about how we handle your contact details is in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

17. Prices and payment

17.1 Ticket prices are in euros and include VAT. The total price, including any booking fee, is shown before you pay.

17.2 Payments are processed by the payment provider of our event platform. Your ticket is valid once payment has been received in full.

18. No statutory right of withdrawal

A ticket to one of our events is a service related to leisure activities for a specific date and time. Under Article 6:230p(e) of the Dutch Civil Code, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. Our own, more generous refund policy is set out below.

19. Refunds and transfers

19.1 Plans change, we understand. You can request a full refund by cancelling through Luma or emailing us:

  • Socials, drinks and networking events: up to 48 hours before the event starts.
  • Workshops, masterclasses and other larger events: between 5 and 21 days before the event starts. The exact refund deadline is stated on the event page. These events take more preparation and commitment to the venue.

19.2 After that period, we are no longer able to offer refunds, because that is when we finalize arrangements with the venue. The same applies if you do not show up.

19.3 Can't make it? You can transfer your ticket to someone else free of charge until the event starts. Just email us the name and email address of the new attendee. These terms then apply to them.

19.4 Tickets may not be resold for more than the price you paid.

20. If we cancel or change an event

20.1 If we cancel an event, you get a full refund of the ticket price, including any booking fee, within 14 days.

20.2 If we move an event to a different date or a substantially different location, you can choose to keep your ticket or receive a full refund.

20.3 Programs sometimes change, for example when a speaker cancels. We will always try to find a good replacement. A change in the program does not entitle you to a refund, unless the event as a whole becomes substantially different from what was announced.

21. At the event

21.1 The Code of Conduct (Article 3) applies. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who breaks it, who is visibly intoxicated, or who endangers the safety of others, without a refund.

21.2 Please follow the house rules of the venue. Food and drinks are at your own expense, unless the event page says otherwise.

21.3 We may take photos and video at our events for use on our website and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let our team know on arrival. You can also ask us to take down a specific photo at any time. More details are in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

22. Online events

Access links to online events are personal. Please do not share them, and do not record or redistribute sessions without permission. We are not responsible for technical issues with third-party video platforms or your own connection, but if we cannot run an online event because of a problem on our side, we will offer a new date or a refund.
